Telco OSS Sales Director – APAC

Sales Director: Networks: We are currently seeking a passionate Sales Director with Network experience to take the lead role in positioning and selling OSS Network Products and Services, specifically OSS related, in APAC.

Overview of Position:

  • The OSS Network Solutions Sales Director (SD) manages the full OSS sales cycle in a certain territory or a certain account or specific domain. In that capacity, the SD exercises the business solution approach: focusing on the customer’s needs and pain points rather than what Amdocs has to offer
  • The SD identifies and develops opportunities until close
  • The Sales Director will be responsible for the sales process of OSS/Networks products and services in APAC, specifically OSS products

Main Responsibilities

The SD will be required to align appropriate sales opportunities to meet business and financial objectives and will be expected to know our customers business needs. Industry experience is essential.

Position Responsibilities:              

  • Generate new OSS products sales and farm existing accounts to leverage OSS sales, along with Customer Business Group per territory
  • Manage and build customer relationships
  • Build and roll out sales plans
  • Ability to work with and involve various parts of the organization
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the relevant account plans and ensure effective customer relationship management;
  • Prepare and deliver high quality sales presentations to key decision makers

Requirements (Skills/Abilities)

  • An experienced sales person with at least 10 years of experience in selling OSS related products in the Telecommunications industry.
  • Of these 10 years, at least 5 should demonstrate a success history of OSS solution selling
  • Should have a strong knowledge in Telecomm and Network market and products, with knowledge in products & services.
  • Proactive, high energy sales person.
  • Communication skills at all levels
  • Experience in leading contract negotiations

Core Competencies

  • Customer Facing: The successful SD is proficient in customer management aspects, including a good understanding of the customer business, structure, culture, trends, concerns, and internal politics and power map and engage with the account accordingly
  • Business Understanding: The SD has an excellent understanding of business and best practice, leveraging this when communicating the best solutions to fit customer needs. The SD needs to understand P&L statements.
  • Sales Skills: The SD must be persuasive, and have very polished communication and presentation skills. The successful SD effectively probes and qualifies opportunities and builds business cases to the customer to justify pricing.
  • Lead a Matrix Team: The SD must be a team player. In order to succeed the SD must mobilize processes and lead a matrix team throughout the sales engagement along with the account
